Appointment of Ombudsman

A Consumer Privacy Ombudsman may be appointed by the trustee and present at hearing for protections to safeguard the privacy interests of the debtor's clients when certain personal data are to be sold.

A Health Care Ombudsman may be appointed to a health care business bankruptcy case.

1. Select Bankruptcy.
2. Select Trustee/US Trustee.
3. Ensure correct case name and number match the document you are filing.
4. Select Appointment of Ombudsman.
5. Select the party Filer as the US Trustee or case trustee, what ever is applicable.
6. Browse verify and attach the document (pdf file).
   • Attach supporting documents, if applicable.
7. Enter the last name of the ombudsman. 
8. Search for the party. If the party not listed, Add/Create Party.
9. Select end party selection after the correct party is added.
10. Enter the appropriate party type, i.e. Consumer Privacy Ombudsman or Health Care Ombudsman
11. Enter the Name of the Ombudsman.
12. Modify final text, if applicable.
13. Warning!! Verify filing entry is correct before submitting the "Final Docket Text."
